ABOUT US

Founded in 1999, by Bruce and Julie Steinberg, North Iowa Collision Center is now independently owned & operated by Collin and Jenna Sheriff. Initially the shop was started in Clear Lake’s Industrial Park with themselves & 1 other employee. That shop was 7500 square feet & built to accommodate the auto body shop. Today, with our loyal customers & hard work, North Iowa Collision Center has moved to a 25,000+ square foot facility on Hwy 122 to handle larger truck & equipment in addition to the cars & light duty trucks they have always worked on.

North Iowa Collision Center’s philosophy is based on treating customers with great customer service as we would want to be treated and repairing their vehicles with the highest quality repairs that we possibly can. We have enjoyed making this ‘business family’ over the last several years and could not have done it without our great customers & hard-working employees that have helped make this business a success! Without our employees high standard of repair quality and helping to make the customer experience here one of trust and comfort we wouldn’t be where we are today. We look forward to many more years of the same great service to the public & great employees to work with.

Twelve Points of Culture

Professional Image

My image will portray knowledge, professionalism, and comfort to our customers utilizing our services. The auto body industry is not always looked at in this manner and I feel it is vital to convey a professional image to the public at all times.

Responsibility

I am truly responsible for my actions and outcomes and own everything that takes place in my work and my life. Blaming others, claiming victimhood, or passing the buck may solve short-term crises, but refusal to take responsibility erodes respect and cohesion in an organization. Ethical people take responsibility for their actions.

Integrity

I always speak the truth. What I promise is what I deliver. I only ever make agreements with myself and others that I am willing and intend to keep. I communicate potential broken agreements at the first opportunity and I clear up all broken agreements immediately.

Communication

I speak positively of my fellow team members, our customers and North Iowa Collision Center in both public and private. I speak with good purpose using empowering and positive conversation. I also communicate with my team members and management regarding the status of jobs in process, any issues that arise whether specifically related to a job or with work in general. It’s always better to have too much information than not enough.

Positive Work Environment

North Iowa Collision Center is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all team members, customers, vendors and visitors. Team members are expected to act professionally at all times.

Trust

There’s no free ride. Trust is hard to earn and even harder to get back after you’ve lost it. Everyone who comes in contact with me or North Iowa Collision Center must have trust and confidence in how we do business.

Quality

Quality should be more than making the best product, but should extend to every aspect of my work. Individuals & teams who recognize quality and strive for it daily have a profound sense of self-respect, pride in accomplishment, and attentiveness that affects everything. Additionally, the fit, finish, safety, and value of our repair must be measurably better than anyone in our market area. Team members must continually strive to improve everything that is done. The constant pursuit of doing things better should always be a primary concern.

Superior Customer Service

We hold our standards to superior customer service. A quality repair alone is not enough. Superior customer service is equally important to North Iowa Collision Center as quality repairs. In today’s market a successful collision repair shop must not only produce a superior repair, but must also cater to its customers in a manner that guarantees customer satisfaction to the best of our ability. Each customer should always understand that they are truly appreciated and respected at all times and without exception. Every effort should be made to provide service to our customer that is superior to that of our competition.

On Time Deliveries

Under promise and over deliver so that customers end up happier than they thought they would. People love surprises, especially the good kind. Only make promises you are 120-percent sure you can deliver in 80 percent of the time.

Education

Keeping up with ever-changing technology and methods is a requirement in our profession. We must keep up to date so we’ll be ready to implement new technology, develop new processes and acquire new markets. I learn from my mistakes. I consistently learn, grow and master so that I can help my fellow team members and customers learn, grow and master too.

Teamwork

I am responsible to help make this company a great place to work. Team spirit should be promoted in every way. Helping each other is essential to good performance. This team approach allows us to create an environment which we can all be proud to be a part of. The work of every team member with all tasks is important to achieve a quality repair.

Systems

I always look to the system for a solution. I follow the system exactly until a new system is introduced. I suggest system improvements at my first opportunity.
